Celebrating 35 years of specialty events. It’s a big year for the GPOESC as we celebrate 35 years of specialty events in 2010. The club was established in 1972 and held its first specialty in 1975. This year’s theme touches on that 70's nostalgia. We will hold two shows back-to-back on Friday, July 23. We are awaiting AKC approval on the judges we’ve selected. Be watching for more news from the specialty committee as plans are developed. And, of course, it would be far out to have some of our groovy members volunteer to help! Many stopped by to "Meet the Breed"
GPOESC reserved an hour in one of the Meet the Breed booths at the Rose City Classic Dog Show on Saturday, January 23, and it was a huge success. A stream of people stopped to meet and pet our OES and get a few wet kisses in return. Many of our members helped out by bringing their dogs, so visitors were able to see OES ranging from a couple of months old on up.
Peacock Lane Walkabout - Lights, cameras, action!
The walk was held under a clear sky on Friday, December 19. We met at 6:00 p.m. and began the one block long walk that took over an hour as we greeted and visited with the many other holiday walkers. See photos of this event >>
